CNY17 / CNY17F Optocoupler, Phototransistor Output
The Vishay Semiconductors CNY17 is an optocoupler consisting of a gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a silicon NPN phototransistor while the CNY17F is an optocoupler consisting of a gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a silicon planar phototransistor detector in a plastic plug-in DIP-6 package. The Vishay Semiconductors CNY17F and CNY17 optocouplers both feature isolation test voltage of 5300 Vrms, long-term stability, and an industry standard dual-in-line package. The Vishay Semiconductors CNY17F provides no base terminal connection for improved common mode interface immunity. The CNY17 can be used to replace relays and transformers in many digital interface applications as well as analog applications such as CRT modulation. The CNY17F is suitable for signal transmission between two electrically separated circuits.
