ABLIC S-8595A Step-Down Switching Regulator
ABLIC S-8595A Step-Down Switching Regulator is developed using a high-withstand-voltage CMOS process technology. This IC includes a high maximum operating voltage of 18V and maintains high-accuracy FB pin voltage at ±1%. The S-8595A regulator offers PWM/PFM switching control options, operates with PWM control under heavy load, and automatically switches to PFM control under light load. This IC incorporates a built-in synchronous circuit, which achieves higher efficiency more easily than conventional step-down switching regulators. Features a built-in overcurrent protection circuit, protecting the IC and coils from excessive load current, and a thermal shutdown circuit, which prevents damage from heat generation. Typical applications include a constant-voltage power supply for industrial equipment and home appliances.
