Advantech EKI-2741 Media Converters
Advantech EKI-2741 Media Converters are designed to convert Gigabit Ethernet networks to Gigabit fiber networks by converting Ethernet signals to optic signals transparently. These converters support MDI/MDI-X auto crossover and auto-negotiation. The EKI-2741 media converters provide a 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet port with RJ45 connector and DIP switch for power alarm and LFP. These converters also provide a 1000Mbps fiber port with SC type connector for 1000Base-SX/LX device and a 100/1000 Mbps Ethernet port with SFP (mini-GBIC) type.
The EKI-2741 media converters feature Link Fault Pass-through (LFP). These converters will force the link to shut down as soon as one side of the link fails and the other side continues transmitting packets. This gives the application software a chance to react to the situation. The EKI-2741 media converters are ideal for fiber-to-building applications at central offices or local sites.
