Apex Microtechnology AIC1638 Photo Receiver Amplifier ICs
Apex Microtechnology AIC1638 Photo Receiver Amplifier ICs are compact, integrated amplifiers developed for high-sensitivity photodiodes utilized in applications such as light barriers, smoke detectors, and light curtains. The conditioned signals drive a current mirror output stage by filtering out ambient light and amplifying the pulses detected by a photodiode. The AIC1638 Amp features integrated polarity protection, allowing for a multiplexed configuration, which simplifies wiring in the application. The IC can be used for light-sensing applications ranging from a few millimeters to several meters and is optimized to reduce the need for external components.
The Apex AIC1638 has been designed to withstand ESD voltages of ≥1kV HBM (Human Body Model) for enhanced ESD robustness. Except for the pulse input pin (PD), which meets an ESD rating of 1kV (HBM), the other pins meet an ESD rating of 2kV (HBM).
