The SFP+ loopback series tests SFP+ transceiver ports in host/system boards and is compatible with all SFP+ ports. The SFP+ electrical loopback has dual LED indicators to display module status, a hot-pluggable MSA footprint, and automatic shutdown. The SFP28 loopback series supports Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet, and Infiniband protocols, is capable of reaching up to a 100Gbps data transfer rate. The SFP28 provides a method for port operations testing in board, hub, system, and other applications.
The QSFP+ loopback series is used for testing QSFP/QSFP+ transceiver ports in board-level tests and transmits data electrically routed by the host to the receive data outputs and back to the host. This QSFP+ device provides loopback functionality for four channels of 25Gbps. The QSFP loopbacks from Timbercon are available in Power Class 1 through Power Class 4 and feature an LED indicator light that alerts the user to the operational status of the loopback.
