EPCOS / TDK B592 Encased AEC-Q200 PTC Thermistors

EPCOS / TDK B592 Encased AEC-Q200 PTC Thermistors are offered in a flame-retardant case and can replace high-power fixed resistors for capacitor charging and work as an inrush current limiter for smoothing DC link capacitors. The series is designed for voltages from 280VAC to 560VAC, offers rated resistances from 22Ω to 100Ω at 25°C, and has a heat capacity of up to 2.3 J/K. B592 PTC thermistors are self-protecting in case of malfunction of short-circuit relay or internal short circuit of the capacitor. The components have an encased thermistor disk with clamp contacts. The devices are ideal for high pulse currents and offer a high number of operating cycles. When used as inrush current limiters, thermistors are not damaged when directly connected to Vmax even without additional current limitations. The series is UL approved, RoHS compliant, and qualified to AEC-Q200. EPCOS / TDK B5921 PTC thermistors are ideal for industrial, household, and automotive electronics.
